West Palm Beach, FL – Jon Lappin approached THAT Agency to help him bring his dream of a one-stop green resource to fruition. There are many green educational websites out there online, and there are many websites that sell green products. But, there is not one green website that does both!
With a host of ideas and functionality that needed to be incorporated into the website, in order to fulfill Jon’s dream of a one-stop green resource, Greenerful and THAT Agency partners in an arduous discovery period in which ideas were flushed out, some thrown out, and some new and great ones added.
With the two main aspects of the site, one being the green store and the other being the educational aspect, in mind, THAT Agency elected to develop the new website on the scalable open source eCommerce platform, Magento, as well as the scaleable open source platform, WordPress. Both are highly search engine friendly and come standard with more features than any other eCommerce and Content Management System platform out there, paid or free.
One challenge THAT Agency designers faced, was how to incorporate the two different aspects of the website, into one cohesive design, all while being developed on two different platforms. THAT Agency’s designers prevailed, and the once distance dreams of the one-stop green resource became a reality. The design was laid out to at 1024px wide, which allows for a larger view on bigger, widescreen monitors, and utilizes a color scheme and textures meant to invoke the sense and feeling of “green”.
In addition to the design and development of the new Greenerful website, THAT Agency utilized their suite of marketing services and experience to properly optimize the website, both onsite and offsite.
