West Palm Beach, FL – After partnering with Braman Motorcars to design, develop, maintain and market the BramanAutoParts.com website in early 2011, THAT Agency quickly realized that Braman’s competitively priced merchandise and willingness to really exploit all marketing avenues, required a much more robust backend eCommerce platform. In an effort to produce a faster user experience, process more orders, and provide top of the line customer service, THAT Agency developed the feature-rich eCommerce website on the Magento platform.

THAT Agency chose to develop the new website on the scalable open source eCommerce platform, Magento, as it is highly search engine friendly and comes standard with more features than any other eCommerce platform out there, paid or free. In addition to the base features, Magento has a following of very talented developers that have created hundreds of thousands of additional extensions, making it one of the most expandable eCommerce platforms out there, as well. To make the transition worthwhile, THAT Agency delivered all of the functionality of the old website, along with additional custom integrations, which include: the ability to edit and archive orders, the ability to print shipping labels from the admin, the ability to sell gift certificates, a customer support ticket system and Google Base and Bing shopping feed integrations.

As the previous design for the website was less than 2 years old, THAT Agency only made minor changes and upgrades to, while largely following the same clean, modern, automotive, look and feel. The design was expanded to 1024px wide, which allows for a larger view on bigger, widescreen monitors. The highly stylized “Search by Model” navigation was developed utilizing font replacement, so that the look and feel could remain, while keeping the text readable by the search engines. The straight forward eCommerce website design is very merchandise focused, and meant to get users where they want to go, as swiftly as possible.

In addition to the development of the eCommerce website, THAT Agency strategized and implemented onsite marketing strategies to maintain the website’s rankings within the search engines, during the switch from one website to a new one. A large push was made to implement 301 redirects for all old page URLs, which notifies search engines that a new page has been created, and to index and list the new page instead of the old. Additionally, THAT Agency outlined a search engine optimization (SEO) plan, which was implemented to make the BramanAutoParts.com website even better, and intended to gain rankings quickly within the major search engines. THAT Agency also has been tasked with the implementation and management of the BramanAutoParts.com monthly search engine marketing (SEM), including: pay-per-click management, re-marketing, link building and offsite search engine optimization.
